Ares is a Black transgender woman born in Salt Lake City by an african american father and a Jamaican woman. For a long time she felt like something was off about herself, until she discovered the local transgender community. Inspired by her peers, she came out to her dad (her mother had left the picture by then), which led to years of abuse, insults, misgendering, and even her removal from school. Ares looked online to find her escape and she found a young woman named Erika. They bonded, and eventually she helped her run away from home, with nothing but her essentials stuffed inside a car. Now Ares is ready to begin a new life in Rafter J Ranch, but one cannot escape from their past so easily...
